After almost four years of a very long break, I am finding myself here finally writing again. Life sometimes throws a person agonizing, painful challenges that one must go through…sometimes for a short time, though sometimes these challenges last a bitter and painfully long time of suffering…but through it all, we must always remember that Our Dear Savior Jesus Christ is always right there by our side strengthening us, purifying us, and fortifying us with His Grace, His Love, and His Mercy. We are never alone, even though sometimes we may feel that way. God sends us His Holy Spirit, which is what we celebrate on this day, the Feast of Pentecost. Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Apostles 50 days after Easter. God fills us with His Fruits and Gifts of the Holy Spirit when we are sealed with the Holy Spirit during our Confirmation. God also sends us His Holy Spirit each and every time we receive Him in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist and gives us His Sanctifying Grace when we receive the Sacrament of Confession or Reconciliation. The Sacraments in the Holy Catholic Church are like a ladder that bring us closer to God in this life, to help us to reach Heaven someday. May all of us Catholics joyfully realize what a precious gift these Sacraments are and to frequent them often. And may all of our dear Christian brothers and sisters open their hearts to the promptings and Gifts of the Holy Spirit and be lead to enter the True, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church that Our Lord began.
